Jack,

"H" only had 2 cars, Kerry was bumped up to "G".

H-1st was Dick Lane and he was 13th overall.
H-2nd was Chris Lifka and he was 18th overall.

Kerry finished 1st in G and 2nd overall.

Toatl Red Group was 27 drivers, 5 DNFs.

Way to go Jim, Mac, "Chubby", Leh, Cory, Phil and everyone else.

Jim--I dont know how many times I'm going to tell you this....your race was so fun to watch. Way to go on bringing Open Air an overall Victory.
"Chubby"--I don't know if you read this board or not but, congrats on getting your rookie license and finishing your first club race. Everyone here at the shop is proud of you. You have come a long way.

Mac, Phil, Leh and Cory--It was fun watching y'all race. Good job on your strong finishes.

Can't wait for Sebring now!! See y'all then!!

Well we made the drive from New York to Savannah..

During Fridays test and tune, a few exhaust valves kissed some pistons..My friend Bill and I looked at each other and decided that given our 15 hour drive, we were going to in fact be in this race.

Through mutual friends we have come to know Bob Sanderson, he supplied us with new intake and exhaust valves.. and gasket kits for our 3.8 turbo ..

We basically rebuilt a 3.8 turbo engine in the paddock. We got the car back on track for the fun race... and finished in the top 6 in the fun race..the joy is not without reservations

Last month at CMP we started dead last... and finished third overall, second in class. This weekend we rebuilt an engine saturday morning, tested it saturday afternoon, then qualified and raced it on sunday..

After the flag dropped we made it up to 6th.. but an unfortunate off dropped us to 10th at the wire..

The weather was great...and Roebling is a great track.

I love that our 25 year old car still car turn 1:14's

Thx,

Rene Robichaud finished 4th in GTA, 9th overall. He really found some speed for the race.
