Default Chassis Weight

Does anyone know the weight difference between a 74-89 bare chassis and a 964 bare chassis?

I'm looking at building a lightweight 964 and am wondering what a reasonable weight goal is. I've seen some 74-89 complete cars that weight 1700lbs with a lightweight drivetrain. I'd like to see 2100lbs with a N/A 3.8/6spd combination

Gee...that seems like a pretty tough goal. How do you do that? Do you weld in a super rigid 8 point cage then just start drilling the rest of the chassis like swiss cheese?

Where are you planning on running the car?
If it is in a series, may I suggest CAREFULLY reading a rule book first?
If so, how much carbon-composite are you allowed?
