Default My 356 Roadster vs. a RS61 Spyder Video

Here is a video from this past weekend - racing for the lead with a Spyder at Thunderhill. Unfortunately my audio mic wasn't working so you can't hear the awesome 4 cam motor - but I added some music.

It was a great race!

Download the 30.7 Mb video

I love watching these videos while I wait to get my next kitchen pass. Beautiful cars. And I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I get a 2:19 lap from your video which seems like a "badass" time given the cars. How are these cars setup? What are they like to drive?

Great video! I need to move to the West Coast. We go into hibernation and you go to the track!

Our best time in that race was a 2:17.5 - watching the line of the Spyder I would say he was driving about 8/10th's, I was driving about 9.5/10th's to keep up with him!

Mine is a standard 1620cc 356 motor with an aggressive cam and stock gear box. Suspension is lowered and pretty stiff. Stock steel 356 wheels and the tries are 205/60/15 Yokohamas. The 356 is better balanced and generally a couple of seconds quicker than a SWB early 911 in vintage racing. Very fun to race!

The 4 cams would be music enough for me!
