I'll be there doing the advanced DE. Looking forward to sniffing around the Club Racing scene. Not sure I want to commit or just do rent a seat Champ Car or similar, but I do have the W2W itch. Multiple threads, both current and past, have me questioning if PCA is the best way to go W2W even though it's my preferred DE group. One step at a time. I'll hit Skippy school or the like first.

SPC would be my preferred CR option for a variety of reasons. Gotta first make sure it's a scene I'll enjoy and then develop the driver.

Very cool. Would suggest you seek out the SPC racers (Yury and others great to chat with) and get some insight into their journey and class. If anything I’m sure they have some tips on getting the car in and the driver in better shape. Bunch of us 911Cup guys will be in the garages if you’d like to stop by and say hello. You’ll find everyone is very welcoming. Don’t hesitate to ask lots questions that are on your mind before you make the jump to whatever racing series you choose, whenever that is.

I know Yury - he instructed some of my buddies as we were coming up through green and blue. Good guy and helluva driver. My home region is RTR and I've been in Jeff Smith's right seat recently.

Be careful sniffing those SPC guys; they'll probably like it and then you'll end up in Matt's trailer ...

SPC is a great and growing class with some very well driven cars. Walk around the paddock and see for yourself. And def come by the garages; I'll be parked there with a bunch of aircooled CUPs. You can't miss us. Fair warning: I will absolutely try to convince to sell your Cayman and join the best class in PCA. But we'll give you a beer or three to help drown out my yapping.

Welcome! Stop by and talk to people that actually race in PCA and then form your opinion. In the past couple of PCA races they organized an "intro to PCA Club Racing" session for DE participants - not sure about this one. In any case - stop by!

Wouldn't sell the Cayman just revert back to stock. Not cost efficient to make it into a race car, and it would probably fit into I Stock, which looks to be a lonely, low volume class. Not sure about ME-1.
I can yap pretty well myself and never turn down a free beer so I look forward to poking around the paddock, learning and making new friends. Appreciate the encouragement on this thread.

I agree - SPB is awesome. And its especially awesome being able to get your hair cut at the track; there are so many hairdressers to chose from!! (Sorry, I couldn't resist).

a few of us will be there with RaceTeq, swing on by. I mean you can’t know you don’t like Matt’s trailer unless you try it.

There will be a free lunch for DE drivers on Saturday with a presentation by several racers of an "introduction to PCA Club Racing". The goal is to get more people into the program.

There is also an evening social event at Eurosport for both DE drivers and racers.

NEVERMIND I saw that the enduro is 55 minutes on clubregistration.... so I need to bring extra ballast in case I run the enduro...

Question on the Enduro - It's listed as 1:05, does that mean we can add gas in our mandatory 5 minute pit stop?

I don't like, and almost never run PCA enduros.
It's nearly impossible to do them when you are self-supported, I'm tired after 3 days, it wears out the car, it gets boring, and I like to get home at a decent hour ... but if the weather is bad Saturday or I need the points I may run. I must have paid for 30 enduros over the years that I did not run.

It is a 55 minute enduro green flag to checker, so no refueling bit is blocked for 1:05 on the schedule to account for pace lap and cooldown lap as well as possible cleanup
