Scruts were def scruting. There were some DQs after quali - and some cars asked to make changes. It was good to see.

But prep isn't just about the car. The metal doesn't drive itself. There is a lot more grip to the track now - and it takes a bit of time to really figure that out. But by Saturday afternoon, the track had already started to slow. Test days really help!

Jeff Smith in SPC who has the record had a tough weekend. Got hit in one race then had a mechanical in the next that ended his weekend.

I wonder if it was also a bit more difficult in certain rungroups. CUP and SP3 were at the front of the yellow group; the only two cars (I and GT4) ahead were lapping much faster and pulled away quick. But there were only 6 laps or so until we caught the back of the field, so the window was tight ..

Run groups played a big role. Faster classes in the slow run group had a harder time and the slower classes in the fast ran group had it easier. There were some mechanicals also to where folks couldn't run all of the sessions.

And Yury had a PS line go in S3, and I had something break in my suspension in the first couple laps of the enduro that made my car a slippy-car (5 seconds a lap slower). The record was very breakable, Jeff had it in predictive, and I was close. We just didn’t land it.

in the red run group, we’d catch the back of the field after 3 laps

Some reach the back of the field quicker than others.

Speedy dry bill must have been epic! I thought that was coolant in my race.

Times dropped hard. Only managed a rolling lap under previous record Old tire lap times were 3 seconds off pervious. Need to change my driving to get closer to current record.

I think my car still has 1/2 a bag of that on and in it. Visibility those first few laps was like a rain race.

Wow. That has to rank as top 3 dumbest things I’ve ever seen on track. I can see missing that you’re dumping oil for a corner or two, but the whole damn track; come on man.
