Spent yesterday with the Shattenbaum crew at Thunderbolt; they always put on a great event!

It was my first time on the new surface and all I can say is: wow. It's the same track we all know and love - but better. More grip everywhere.

The race next month is going be fun!

Now get off the fence and register; we really need to show up for, and protect, our "smaller" regional races like NJMP so that they continue to be on the calendar for the long term!!

70+ racers currently looking to put their name on their class' track record - still a bit shy of last year, but we're getting there !

If the time slot is 40 min, then the race is usually 30 min from green to checker. That leaves time for an outlap,, in lap and clean-up.

And that doesn't even include another two hours on Friday across the four practice/quali sessions ...

No other sprint racing series does a better job with seat time. None. This gives an individual in a team of 4 doing enduro racing a run for the money in terms of seat time.

PCA doesn’t do enough of a good job highlighting this

Thanks Frank and Pete! I got excited by the thought of 40 minutes but 30 will be just fine. No complaints here. Lots of track time

That's because they are too busy telling everyone who questions them to pound sand!

What's the point in commenting on this thread just to drag it down with this BS?

You don't see that there are people trying to use this space to focus on bringing racers into an awesome event that so many volunteers have spent so much of their time trying to make a success?

If you're a PCA racer, I don't understand this desire to try to sink the ship we're all traveling on.

And if you're not a PCA racer, it sounds like you're just repeating things other have said.

Either way, it doesn't make much sense to me ...

We don’t have to agree on why I decided to post my opinion and I don’t think pointing out what PCA is doing is me trying to sink the ship. It seems based on the declining car counts at races PCA is doing a great job of that all on it’s own!

I am sure this event will be great and I wish the best for all involved.
