Hey folks, was passing through the area yesterday I think I may have coincidentally run into one of you yesterday at a service plaza on the Penna turnpike on the western side of the state. Does anyone know a gentleman with a grey 996 gt3 that is caged? (it had og racing and grm stickers) Had a great time speaking with him and I believe he was an instructor. If he's on here, could someone help me get in contact with him? Have some more questions for him. Thanks!

Another great weekend at Pitt Race. Thanks to Potomac for another stellar event. Great seeing everyone again.

I love this track more every time I go, and just when I think it can't get any better, it does. For those that haven't been, put it on your list for sure. You have no idea what you're missing. The place just flies under the radar, so I guess that's a good thing (for me anyway), but damn, if you haven't been to Pitt, you are selling yourself short. The flow, the elevation, the high speed kinks, all of it. I just flat out love that racetrack.`

Back in 3 weeks with Allegheny/NNJR.

Although my favorite 3 track are still my favorite 3 tracks, their order has changed.

Used to be, in order:

WGI, VIR, Pitt Race.

As it stands as of this morning, in order, they are:

Pitt Race, VIR, WGI.

Flame away y'all.....

I suspect I know who you met! Did he have a unique mustache? I will share this post with him!

Thanks! The help is much appreciated. Unfortunately I can't quite recall if he had a mustache or not. He told me that he previously drove a 993 if that helps.

I had a great time at Pitt for the first time—the track is technical and challenging, but it's a blast to drive! Thankfully, I found a few instructors who were willing to jump in the right seat with me.
is a video of my best run.

Nice driving. 2:03 is no joke. I didn’t run below 2:01:95, and that was the first session Friday morning with new shoes
What car are you in?
I think you said it wasn’t the 964. What car?

I am 'that guy' with the 996 GT3 you saw. Yes, I ran my '95 993 for several years- I miss that car. ;-) I put pics of both cars below.

IIRC, you're working on building a track or rally spec'd RX-7, right? You showed me pics of the cage.

In think I ran in White once. Mostly Red. There was another white GTS and 2 white GT4s running in black and Red. I stayed with both of them back and forth but they were really fast.
You gonna be at Main in 2 weeks? My region NNJR is tagging along with Potomac that weekend. If you’re there we should say hey for sure.

Yes, I will be there! I have a big red trailer - it is hard to miss in the paddock!

Steve, Matt here, good meeting you again and thanks for letting me right seat with you! Dave is a terrible instructor anyway (just kidding!). Great driving, keep up the good work. See you at the next one!
