I stay at the track. U can get a Rvshare delivered and plug it in. Its by far the easiest way to roll. The track facilities r nice and its very quiet at night. The bonus is u get to sleep in.
i looked into rvshare a few times but after all the added fees, taxes and other charges it's just not worth it. for example i wanted one for a mid-o weekend and they listed it at $79 per night however for 3 nights the total was over $800. the hotel that is 9 minutes from the track was $404 all in.

yep. same thing as airbnb or vrbo. nice idea and the actual rent pricing isn't bad, but all the add-ons and fees kill it. here is another example:
-edit-
forgot to add on the $2 per mile delivery fee to the above...
I've looked at this in the past as I prefer being as close to the track as possible but could never get the math to work. I mean maybe if it was split with someone but otherwise pretty step for camping.
@steveP911 I am glad you started this thread! I will be there too, with Potomac! It is my first time there so I hope to get a few instructors in the right seat early on Friday!

Great. Come on over and say hi. I am the black #25 997 in White. What group are you in?
PS - I used to have a 964. Are you driving one or are you also a previous owner?
There are a few mods... this is my first season in my 981 CGTS after a couple of seasons driving an e46 M3. The car is equipped with a roll bar, race seats, and harnesses. The suspension includes Tarret front camber plates, sway bar, LCAs (club spec), extended tie rods, and adjustable drop links (-3.2 camber on the front), as well as adjustable toe arms (-1.7 camber on the back) at the rear. The performance upgrades consist of Soul headers with high-flow cats, FabSpeed Supercup pipes, a GT3 throttle body, an IPD plenum, a Cobb Stage 1 tune, and a PDK OEM+ tune. The braking system uses Yellow Pagid pads and slotted rotors, along with SRF brake fluid and SS brake lines.

How about your 981?
Mine’s a 2014 S with very similar mods to yours. I use the Ferodo 3.12s’ instead of yellows, but the rest of the mods are same as yours.
The Cayman platform is exactly what you want at Pitt Race, especially from 5 to 14.
Let’s say hey at Pitt. White 981S # 694.
For sure get someone in your right seat early on. Very technical track. If I’m not totally overwhelmed with my student, I might be able to hop in with you early on day 1.
My weather app shows 94, 95, 91 for the weekend. Suggestions on best paddock spot to stay cooler? I may make or renew friendships with those in a garage spot. I will definitely be closely watching my oil temp, but I have to also watch my body temp. Very likely will be a shorts and t-shirts allowance for the entire weekend. Anyone know a good source of potable water on the site? Any ice? Tricks on keeping cooler?

It was in the mid 90s yesterday at Lightning and we did fine. Hydrate hydrate hydrate.
Mid 80s today and tomorrow. Garages at Pitt aren’t aren’t air conditioned. Classroom and bathrooms are. See ya at the stalls…
The vid is pretty good, however, he is turning in too early on turn 3 heading down into Coyote Gulch (our version of the corkscrew). That is a late apex turn, and when you hit it right, you go down that hill hitting all the turns just right and really cook off wasted seconds. Jack Neff's video is a goood one to show this.
