OT but, just got back from Beaverun ... still no bathrooms ... and the last 100 feet from paddock to the pits is still unpaved. Easy for me to spend their money, I know ... but how much could it cost to pave the last little bit of road so that every session doesn't begin with tires full of rocks?

still OT
Jim - I didn't do any exploring, but overall things looked exactly as they did last year when I visited. Race control looks oddly like a trailer perched atop a dumpster.
As for "Slummit," the track certainly has come a long way since I first drove on it 11 years ago. I'd have preferred to see new monies spent on improving the old track, rather than building a new one, but God bless Bill Scott for running a great track an hour from my house!

wch... you got to admit it is vastly better than it used to be... and two tracks are better than one. In some bizzare way if it were too nice it woudn't be Summit anymore.... or am I going senile
