What difference does it make if it’s “race prepared” or a street car being tracked. Why is a race prepared car more at risk of fire? Just seems silly to make that distinction. You either require everyone to wear a suit or not.

What if you drive a race prepared car really, really slowly?

Also the way the fuel lines and fuel cells r mounted r non factory and have less protections on some race cars. Im not reffering to factory built cup cars but converted and homebuilt race cars. I have seen some scetchy stuff done in the name of lightening and balancing the car.

What’s with all the getting this thread back on track crap?

We were about a post or two away from carpet munching, and now we’re back to this egress and fuel cell crap? This place is going to hell.

How else are people going to see the beauty that’s going by? Needs to be appreciated. You’re welcome.

Right, but then it becomes so subjective and people have no idea what to do leading to a whole lot of confusion. Does a race seat with 6 point belts qualify as race prepared vs one with halo. Roll cage without front bars? Just make a decision or be very specific what you are concerned about.
Anyway

Everybody hates the lawyers until they want specificity in the rules.

Hating lawyers is grossly negligent and could have material adverse results. This post contains forward looking statements which may or may not materialize based on a number of risk factors

This thread is trending exactly where I anticipated it would. Firesuits for lap timers and backup Cup Cars if you ask me.

Good point - cup cars are factory race cars have not (can't sometimes) be modified. Fire suit or no?
