David Murry Sebring January 2024 Roll Call
Who is going to the even this week? I'll be there Monday night through Wed. I'm working with a team, but it's always great to carve out some time to say Hi!

I’m already here, just finished up 3 great days with Chin. Ran hard and spent time with a lot of fellow Rennlist members - we had a blast.
I planned to have an in car coach Tuesday and run hard two days. But……I’m low on front brake pads, unless I can get something quickly I may not be out much
I’m in the white 458 Ferrari Challenge Evo, come by and say hello!

Flying down tomorrow and will be there for the 2 days of Dave Murry and then for the Porsche Club event on Thursday thru Saturday (flying back Sunday). I'll be in the Advanced Solo Group for the PCA event. I'll be paddocked with the Speedsport guys again, and will be great to connect with anyone who's there.

Lol, not a whole lot…..it was 85 Saturday, but now in the 40s after the cold front rolled through.
Bring sunscreen, or come by and I’ll be happy to oblige. Track may be a tad cold in the mornings, but should be some great tracking weather.
I’ll be trackside later today - CWR Racing is dialing out some of my camber. And I have brakes shipping and may see them later today too. So we may be in luck!
Beautiful pic, btw.

Well, long day but after some last minute drama, I’m locked and loaded for tomorrow. The Prancing Horse is ready for yet another track day
Big shout out to Jordan @ Taurino Racing and Charles Wicht Racing for sorting out my brake pad and alignment woes!
Lots of racing teams here with the requisite Porsches, etc., etc.
It ‘s lookin’ to be the wild, wild South at Sebring as the track goes hot at 8:00 AM. Gonna be some beautiful weather!

A catastrophic tire failure notwithstanding, it was a great day on track today. Weather was perfect, the car ran hard, I’ve had a bit of a change of heart about DM since my first encounter at The Glen. I enjoyed myself quite a bit and felt much more comfortable around the faster cars. Simply following faster drivers and watching their line and how they maneuver their cars can reap rewards.
I’m working on fundamentals and have yet to put together a ‘perfect’ lap, but consistently running below 2:20 in traffic and dropping into the 2:16 - 2:15 range with none. Feeling much better in certain sections, right now just focusing more on improving in specific areas.
I got a ton of Garmin data to digest later on.
I’m watching the faster cars take a small left turn onto the outside curbing prior to entering the Hairpin at 7 to get the car rotated and pointed downfield - interesting. Doing better coming out of 11 and into 13, but I’ve yet to master 10. - either over braking or taking it too deep and missing the apex (and the bumpiness penalizes you).
Certainly a level higher than Chin Red, but great for improving overall skills. Some really cool machines out there!
I got a lung full of dirt and sand when the tire blew just after the Bridge at 5. Luckily no impact, just some embarrassment and a tow back to the paddock (guy was real nice, btw).
All is well with a fresh set of tires, back at it tomorrow!

Dave Scott - please stop by if you get a chance. We're set up right outside the Gallery of Legends.
Actually anyone please stop by and say high. Free koozie if you mention Rennlist! OK, its more to put a face to a RL name.
