Default Best radios?

What are the best handheld radio sets to get for in car to crew communications these days?
Digital vs analog?

Digital is the way to go.
Brand is up to you and who can program
I like my Motorola cp200d (handheld hardwired) and the cm300d etc are nice as well.

Definitely digital.

If you want a potentially annoying project, you can build up your own system using Baofeng radios or another cheaper set. I've had a few people say the Baofeng are actually pretty decent. If you buy the regular Motorola/Kenwood/TYT setup from someone, it's going to just work and you get support. I just bought a setup from Sampson and they were good to work with.

Go with a bluetooth-capable radio for your PTT wheel button.

Bret - We upgraded from analog to digital and it was a night and day difference.
