The Teamsters have their hooks deep into UPS and neither side is currently sitting at the negotiating table with a 7/31 strike date.

Over paid and preachy. I watch movies to be entertained and that is impossible when someone is trying to ram their agenda down your throat. It is very very rare I'll watch a new movie.

I definitely hope they can begin talking soon. That would have a significant impact on our national economy if they went on a prolonged strike.

Haha! But remember, he told us that Putin is losing the war in Iraq, so all is OK!

Im sure you know this but this strike is not about the "staggeringly over-paid actors" (the 1% of Hollywood), the rest of the industry works paycheck to paycheck, gig to gig and the majority of SAG members make less then your local UPS driver. A big part of this is take a background actor for example who gets about $250 a day, the production/studio scans their likeness on day 1 and then with CGI/AI use "them" in whatever scene they like in the rest of the film and sometimes for eternity, for one day's pay. I imagine if someone paid you for instructing for one day you'd be less then thrilled if you found out you had to coach that client for free the rest of your life, or longer if you get my point.

I get it, and empathize with their position. But again...UPS (and its competitors) are much more crucial to our economy and general well being/quality of life, than Hollywood

Who gives a f**k? Excuse me if I don't care about the well being of industry that thinks half of the people in this country should not be allowed to have opinions and positions different that their's. Who think they can tell others how to live their lives when their lives are the ones that are all screwed up.

He's not wrong if he's comparing notes with my prime minister. The US is knocking it out of the park compared to Canada.
