I think it could be good. Watching the interview during F1 GP Sunday with Brad Pitt, I am inclined to think they will do it right.

Likely suspension of disbelief will be required... perhaps more so than usual for many of us control freak racing drivers.
Pitt... I first spotted him in Thelma and Louise which I saw in a theater with my wife and a friend while he was waiting to hear of his first FBI assignment. I declared he was gonna be a star. My friend was very angry at the end of that film.
He later worked in the WH at the end of his career and life (national security).
Now there is a building named after him (by congress) and in a strange twist my wife's nephew has an office in that building.
Anyway, here is a link to the interview to which Mark referred (hi Mark, I hope all is well):
Pitt seemed a little shy to me, at least at first.
Apparently a MotoGP fan:
I wish him/them the best on their film project about F1.
Ya veremos

I’m guessing it’s not filming any longer, with the strike.

Confirmed, production has stopped due to actors joining writers' strike. Actors especially pissed because studios want to be able to use actors' AI likenesses forever, beyond contracted project, with no added compensation. That seems creepy to me.

If they can bring and old actor, like John Wayne, back through AI, and make a new movie, I think its kinda cool, but the actor, or their estate, should be entitled to compensation.

AI might help us cure cancer one day but we have to do important stuff like this first -

I saw the Indiana Jones movie recently and the opening scenes are CG/AI of Harrison Ford decades ago. It was very convincing.
Interestingly the issue of using actors in AI was recently highlighted in "Joan is Awful," an episode of Black Mirror.
