Default ODBII Shiftlights

Hi All,

I have a 991.2 GT3 CS for a few month, and I track it

I think that on track, it's too bad there is no shiftlight embedded in the cluster. I made some research on the forum but did only find a few informations.

Do someone use some aftermarket ODB2 LED Sequential Shiftlight? (I would like something that can be unplugged very easily). I used to have a Motec SLM, I also find AIM great but both are CAN connected and not ODBII :/

Maybe something like this
ShiftLight 10 LED RGB CAN/OBD2 (megasquirt.fr), or this one: Shiftlight | JT Innovations. but there some ordering/delivery problems due to lacks of semi conductors...

Does someone have one? Would you have some feedbacks?

Best regards from France

Thanks a lot Srwhitman,

I already found it. To be honnest I did find it too big and I was afraid it hides the digital speed and lift position (very usefull for me)

What ODB plug did you use? Was it direct plug and play?

Its not that big. Depending on your height, seat height, and steering angle tilt - yes, it *could* interfere with bottom of the speedometer (digital readout). But I find it very useful and since its on track, I am more interested in shift lights than speedo.

Yes, direct plug and play but you have to do some wiring to get power and ground as that connector doesn't give you that. I found power and ground separately. Downside is that the wires from the shift light are tiny but stiff so seem to be ok.

Be forewarned - you do not want to leave this thing plugged into the OBDII port for days if you aren't going to drive the car. It has minor parasitic draw to the battery - I think I accidently left it in for 2 weeks and, poof, dead battery. Able to be revived but I do worry that draining the battery full is probably not great for the life of the battery.
