Default Saudi F1 Track at Jeddah.. !!

Has anyone seen that track layout? I saw the practices today.. un friggin real... .. Its like Monaco on steroids (without the tall buildings and elevation... like: "flying a helicopter in your living room" as some drivers say.) Also reminiscent of Long beach
F1 jeddah : a mass of quick coming, blind corners, virtually no runoff, 27 corners, with a pit entrance that feeds off the apex of one of the fastest turns.... The walls are right there in your face the whole time. plus domed curbing that tends to lift the car at the center plate ... something else not good for traction.. I hope pirelli gets the tires right....
Carnage is predicted..

Plus. there is no place for the laggards to slow while getting significantly offline. The qually will be a total cluster F with cars going slowly waiting for their run (withut traffic) and others finishing hot laps ...

It's a blur. speed and walls - gonna be interesting. Generally not a fan of street circuits, but this will (may) be interesting - it's fast.

Cheers

Speed between armco can indeed bite! Great, ballsy quali session.

Cheers

The combination of high-speed blind corners, and brand new flaggers, has combined to produce several "almosts" already. This is going to be a pins and needles race on every lap.

Some of drivers have already stated they were drained from just Driving qualifying. It will be a real challenge during the race.

The first two F2 races were mental. I was hopeful the F1 race would be better (and was very excited for the F2 feature but that ended before it started and then ended after it started) but it was just OK. Willingly building a racetrack inside a tunnel and having no way to recover the inevitable wrecked cars is just a brutal choice.

I thought the race was fantastically entertaining.

Lots of stoppages, no huge surprise there, but some very hard nosed racing. Wow. What a season.

Cheers

Great track for time trials, not so much for racing. 9 more years. Ugh.
