New MotorTrend TV Series - "The Drive Within" Featuring Some Rennlist Members
Hey Everyone....So myself and a few other Rennlist members (Jim Ptak, Marc Gamora, Brad McCall, etc) are a part of a new TV Series on Motortrend TV called The Drive Within which starts tomorrow at 6pm et. Setting aside my shameless self promotion here, I think it will be something most of you will hopefully enjoy. The series follows our Endurance Racing team Round 3 Racing from the middle of our WRL season through to the end of this season. It will show the ups and downs of motorsports, the struggles, and some of our victories as well. The premise is to show what it takes to build a successful endurance racing team and also highlight the different ways many of us got into Motorsports. Our team has 4 cars driven by racing drivers from very different backgrounds. Some with lots of pro experience, others who came up through HPDE world right into endurance racing, and some of us who went through the ranks of club racing and are now looking to go drive professionally.
Similar to The Drive to Survive (F1 show on Netlifx), episodes 1-4 will follow a car more specifically in the episodes (my car will be episode 3 but you will see us a little of us in each episode hopefully). Episodes 5 and 6 will surround the 24 hours of Sebring and we are told there will be a 7th episode that follows us to COTA next month. The Drive to Survive on Netflix is one of my favorite shows on television, but sadly none of us will ever make it to the F1 ranks. This hopefully will showcase a series and a level of racing that a lot of you can race on. WRL has done an incredible job growing a really really fun and competitive endurance racing series. A lot of pro drivers and very fast amateur drivers are joining the races. The pointy end at WRL is no joke and the drivers are pro level these days. I am very thankful that Hagerty and Motortrend got together and spent all this time and money to showcase this level of motorsports which is not usually broadcast on this level. I hope you all enjoy the show! I promise there is a lot of built in real life racing drama involved! Here is a teaser of the show: https://www.hagerty.com/media/videos...series-teaser/

Awesome - I love stuff like this and think it is great for the sport. Well done and I plan to watch this!
I just hope you have your own version of Guenther Steiner dropping F-bombs all over the place.

Thank you! All our in car Audio was recorded. Episode 3 has some fire in it since we (with me driving) got hit going into turn 12 at Road Atlanta! Not sure how much of it is edited out, but you def will see me a bit upset haha!

Tune into Episode 2. Its about Shea's car and Shea. The first one I have heard is honestly not the favorite of the people who produced it. Two is great and covers Daytona. Three is fire I heard and covers Road Atlanta (and my car)...I got put in the wall so there is some fireworks there. Four was an epic VIR episode and 5/6 cover the 24 hours of Sebring. 7 will be a delayed episode and has not shot yet (will cover COTA). The idea to cover each car in episodes 1-4 gives the viewers a little more connection to each team/drivers with the last 3 episodes covering the racing all around.
