Dear RL Fam,
I'm selling a Spec Boxster that has been freshly built by Goldcrest Motorsports. I haven't had the opportunity to drive it since completed due to ongoing health issues that are forcing me to take a break from racing, so it is as fresh as it gets.
It's built on an Arctic Silver 1998 Chassis and the stock 2.5L powertrain has 64k original miles. The motor, transmission, and data-logger were all taken from my previous SPB which only had three race weekends on it. As I had planned to race this SPB, it was my dream build and I didn't cut any corners, going for upgrades like the MCS suspension and shifter setup.
Goldcrest is a top tier shop and I wanted a solid and premium build that was reliable, safe, and would last me several years. I'm happy to talk more about the car and my experience with them in detail. The car is currently at Goldcrest in Atlanta, but they are willing to transport it to VIR for me if needed.
This SPB is FULLY spec legal for 3 racing series. It can be raced in PCA SPB class, NASA ITR, and SCCA T3 classes.
The detailed specs are below as well as some basic photos GC sent me upon completion. I don't particularly want to sell it but, after quite a bit of consideration, selling is the "sensible" decision. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to save money on a high quality build and doesn't want to spend what feels like an eternity waiting for it to be built!
I wanted Goldcrest Motorsports as my track support for PCA club races and they consistently produce high quality builds. If you follow the Carrera Cup Series or Porsche Sprint Challenge Series you've seen Goldcrest Motorsports builds up at the pointy end of the field. They are consistent podium finishers and are well regarded. I really wish it made sense to keep it!
