o.k. I've called 8 Recaro dealers today including the most popular ones to see if anyone would have an extra unsold SRD black seat.

NO LUCK Some have red ones (I need black).. and some have them WITHOUT the crotch/sub belt hole which I need/is the whole point of the seat IMHO.


So I'm on a quest for a single seat!

Anyone?

Specifically, I am looking for a standard BLACK SRD with White recaro stiching WITH the sub belt hole in place (a $40 option when new).


We bought the last SRD from Northstar motorsports and didn't realize it would be so difficult to find another for the passanger side.. sigh...

I understand your plight.... I'm in a similar, but slightly different situation. While I can't help you with your request, I was hoping you wouldn't mind if I bummed a ride on your post....

I'm in search of a single Sparco Evo2 (or Evo, Pro2000, or Corsa) seat, if anyone is looking to sell one.

I have something similar - Black Recaro SRD's with Red "Recaro" stitching. I have two - driver and passenger, but I'd like to eventually switch the driver seat for something more in-line with the current safety craze. I was going to wait until the end of the season, but if you'd consider the red stitching, maybe I'd consider upgraging early...
As a side note - you might want to do the same. Check some of the recent safety threads, and maybe you'll decide on a driver seat with some lateral protection.

 

ps - mine do have the sub-mount hole, plus I have a lumbar "bladder"(?) that I never installed, but intended for the driver seat.

SRD was replaced by the Speed... the speed it a bit taller and narrower but looks the same (unless you look at them nexto eachother to compare). If you are interested in a speed give me a call.

 

there in lies the issue..

There is ONE SRD in the car already.. looking to match with another SRD.. and there IS a visible difference with them side by side in the car!!!


BTW: I was told the SPEED seat is 38mm WIDER.. Are you saying this is NOT the case now?

 

definately not wider, it is tighter in the legs.... i have one of each in my show room

 

if you have an SRD in your showroom, is it black with sub-belt hole and white recaro lettering? want to sell it if it is?
