Default GT3 Cup fun at Sebring w/ GT2 RS CS / 488 Challenge

Had fun running around Sebring with a GT2 RS Clubsport and 488 Challenge car. They both have higher horsepower and easily leave me on the straights. I'm quite certain that my car in the hands of a more capable driver could easily have kept up. I'm still learning and getting more comfortable every event. Also picked up a Birel kart for inbetween events and that has helped me also. It was 90F+ and on a used set of Michelins from June. I'm hoping that with a new set of tires, and a slightly modified setup (ie. camber / wing), in December, I'll take a couple seconds off my laps.

Slowing too much through turn one and go to full throttle from three to five quickly and back to full throttle once around 11-12 going into 13.

Also it appears you can break a little later almost everywhere. A great exercise is to see where you usually break into a turn like turn seven and brake as hard as you can but down to the speed you usually turn in on. I'll bet you stop way before you think you will. Make sure no one is behind you when you are resting this. 😀

Copy that, Stu. All good stuff and spot on.

Come December when things cool down, I have these and a few other changes to focus on. My TB on Sat in the heat with older tires was 2:11.4 With some setup changes, new tires, cold weather, and better driving, hoping to have a better lap.

Thanks!

It took me a while to really trust what the Cups could do. I'm still learning. If you have the chance to get a coach, like Ron Zitza, for yourself and to ride along with him as a passenger is really eye opening. Money well spent.

Have fun.

Ron hands down worth every penny, i always run with Zotz and the advice is invaluable. Especially when Ron drives your car and gives you an idea of what it is capable of, and he's at 75% LOL

I know Ron and Eric well. Great guys. Just started down this couching journey. Realized I sort of reached a plateau and the next investment is coaching. Planning to implement some of the things I learned last time at Sebring when we hit Barber in a few weeks and then plan to have Peter Krause helping me at VIR in October.

Always a student.

This lap was my best for the day. I was on track for a low 2:11 but lost time through 17 at the start of the lap and end of the lap. Need to put a all the pieces together, all over the place.

Thats a great lap! Wait till it gets cooler and throw on a sticky set of tires, you can take 2-3 seconds off that lap above easy.
