Crazy formula e flight, but watch that flagger. I want them at every event ever.

It's not clear from the video, but did he actually get the yellow out when contact was inevitable, but before the actual contact?

Also, the flagger was no shrinking violet with all that debris coming at him.

Thats the way it looks to me, he started waving before the driver made contact with the wall.

I was a flagger for 11 years and although the guy on the yellow flag was supposed to be looking at the following corner , i'm guessing the blue flagger who was sharing his spot
advised him of a possible ( definite ) incident about to happen ... the fact that he started waving before the car passed his station means that he was well aware of what was going to happen next .
Kudos to the guy , he did a great job !

I have a feeling he was looking downstream (as he should have been) and another car out of frame clipped the apex and spun. He shouldn't have thrown the yellow for an upstream incident, anyway.

Watch again, to me it looks like that flagger is looking down track. Two cars make contact in that corner and one looks to start to spin ahead of the car that takes flight.

Pretty good anticipation of what was inevitable. Man that car was still carrying a lot of speed into the run off area.
