Default 73 IROC RSR Fittipaldi car...

In case anyone is pining about where to park that democratic stimulus check ... here is a good investment... .. git yur checkbook out for that..... a bit surprising it has not disappeared into a private collection before hitting the public markets..

I'd love to own this "real one"... the IROCs are high on my list of favorite Porsches. This is as close as I will come however (which isn't too bad!) Kind of crazy that you could have 35-40 of my cars for the asking price of the "real one"...

Not to completely derail the thread, but where did you get the rockers for your car? Been looking for something for my g-body race car forever

The car came to me that way, with those rockers... but my best guess is that they are some variation of 964 narrow body rockers.

See this GT Racing part: http://www.gt-racing.com/964-narrow-...s-11-part-152/
And this Rennspeed part: http://www.rennspd.com/P_Detail.asp?PID=105&Task=STD

The versions on my car look to be 1 piece and maybe closer to the Rennspeed part than the GT Racing parts... My car was converted to it's current form at JWE - maybe they could help point you on the right direction?

Especially since the mental image I got when I read the thread title was something like this:

I've seen some photos of this as they were working on it and it's really top notch. The owner has had a number of significant cars over the year and his cars were always amazing.

Dan. at this point, my abject hate of these 915 gearboxes is beyond bounds....,, how they withstood high hp cars under race conditions back in the day is beyond me.... your suggestion on the 996/7 is gaining traction in my mind... ...

I've got a pair if you are interested. I custom made them using fiberglass 964 rockers by bonding the two parts together and trimming the shark fin off. They look very similar to the red BBI "project nasty" rockers, or the JWE spec 911 cars. Really cool rockers but my plans have changed. Send me a PM with your email and I can send some pictures.
