Honestly Forza would probably be good enough just to get some course memorization embedded into your brain. iRacing can be much better, but really depends on your rig setup...which can take a commitment to procure, setup, tune, etc.
If you happen to be there in April for the Chin track day event I’d take you up on the offer. As for the pro coaches, if I were still racing competitive, w2w I would go that route. But I decided to give that up 5 years ago. Just looking to have fun now.

Does Forza have COTA? The only other option I’ve found so far is Project Cars 2.

Project cars 2 has it. It’s ok to get acquainted with track. Not too bad ...
