Default Stolen from Professor Helmut Tester's office: This'll help settle the G-sum debate

Last night our head of covert ops, Bob_Dallas broke into the good professor's office in the Science Building, looking for a copy of the mid-term I have to take today.

He was unsuccessful in finding it.

However, he did discover this modeling tool that should be quite helpful to anyone involved in the g-sum/friction circle debate, which doesn't seem to want to die..

Here it is, compliments of Hey Wait For Me Racing:

http://www.math.dartmouth.edu/~dlittle/java/SpiroGraph/

So the thousands on one side of the debate can start graphing friction circles right now, as can the person on the other side of the argument.

Imagine what a talented chartoligist like Z-man will do with this!

And if anyone does manage to isolate the G-spot using this tool, please rush it to me.

(Yes the Professor is tenured at Dartmouth, so now you understand his references to a Green track)

(pps - sorrry for another G-spot joke, but I couldn't resist)

Mike,

The **** collection is the g-sum/friction circles that look like this:

(I know I can't hope to compete with Z-man's artistic skills!)

It looks to me like he got the artificially enhanced G-sum DAS system.

Z,

I suspect something is wrong with the way I brake in right hand turns.

Then again, we're all really a bit asymmetric if you think about it.

Anir cleary you have not seen the precision that can been seen from Z-man's Gsum chart. It it is true work of art. You really need to work harder to improve you symmerty!

Ok, I finally came up with my G-sum model based upon Professor Helmut's Spiro Graph:

The numbers that were plugged in were as follows:
Radius 1: 42^1.618
Radius 2: 3.14 * the GNP of Angola's rutabaga crop
Position: Just right of center
Velocity: the speed of light, of course!
Resolution: don't know: I've been blinded by the speed of light!

Enjoy,
-Z-man.

PS: The animated gif was shamelessly borrowed from Hacker-Pschorr.

Z,

That looks more like Dim Sum than G-sum.

M758,

Grasshopper will work to improve his symmetry.

Brian,

You picked up on that "enhancement", aye? I know of no other way to get the radii so smooth and nummular, except in rare cases of THE natural gift.

My guess is the doctor has seen more than the rest of us.

Perhaps the rest of us combined.
