Default PCA Race at Eagles Canyon - Oct 17-18

Registration is open for what is probably the smoothest track in the southern US. We're lucky to have multiple tracks in Texas, but Eagles Canyon is really unique. If you've never been there it's about an hour north of Dallas. The track has been around for awhile but recently new owners have spent $$$ to massively update both the surface and the configuration of the track itself.

The surface is glass smooth with perfect, mild curbing. More importantly the track configuration has added 4 additional corners to make what I believe is like no other track in in the US, both fast and technical. I'll tell you, after running several practice & coaching sessions on the new configuration....it's exhausting. Super challenging and fun. Plus, a chance to set track records given the brand new configuration.

This is our last chance of the year to race with PCA. Weather in Texas is perfect in October.

Check out a pro in my 997 cup on a hot lap in the new configuration.
(Note that the speed sensor on the video is broken)

Were you out there a few months ago doing private sessions during a HPDE day with Jason Hart getting coaching? 1:55 is freaking hauling ***. I'm at a 2:03 in my 997 GT3 street car.

His line into 9/10 is interesting, he comes in early to the curbing and hugs it. I've seen most people do a later apex to avoid running off before the start of the exit curbing.

Won't comment on who's driving the car, but it's not me.
The driver had a bad line in 9/10 because the front tires were entirely gone. And yes, he's hauling *** but he could probably another 2 seconds on fresh tires, maybe more.

It's a fun track. Can't wait to actually race it!

And 2:03 in a street car is smokin.

ECR is an awesome track. I was out there with NASA a few weekends ago racing in my GTS3 m3 and had a blast. I have also been out there for a few DE days and in my experience fresh tires make a huge difference on how the car behaves and handles on this fresh surface. Practicing on some scrub r-comps my car would under steer quite a bit on this surface. It was frustrating and my times were less than impressive. Threw on some fresh hoosiers and the car responded very well. I was able to lay down a 2:02.4 qualifying lap in the blistering heat of August.

Thanks for clarifying, I was wondering if I was taking the wrong line since it wasn't the same as the pro driver. My car has another 1-1.5 seconds in it, I think. Goal is to get close to 2:01, full weight + roll cage 997.1 on stock suspension and stock power.
