first track day in new to me Cayman

A. It was about 20 heat cycles, NOT 30,, sorry for the typo aka careless post,
B. I took a closer look at the tires...I am replacing them. I think the magic # for me is 20 heat cycles. I wish there were more but I don't want to take any risks.

Martin, what oil temps are you seeing with your GTS? Ran my new to me 2013 BS at Summit Point last weekend for the first time. I added the third radiator and coil heat shields. Water temp never moved off of 194, Oil temp consistently 280 when driving hard with temps in the low 90s. Was thinking of a Softronic tune or equivalent to get a few more HP but obviously would add heat load. Comments?

Good Questions
These cars (3.4) run too warm for my taste....but that 's the way it is, they run warm. I didn't note the actual temp, just noted the indicator was not in the Red Zone. I should be able to get exact #s off my AiM unit//it's hooked into the car's CAN bus system....BUT, I am away from the unit until August, vacation plans.
I share your concern...my 2004 GT3 ran much cooler as did my previous 993, and prior to that my 80 SC. My mechanic has my car on Liqui_Moly 10-60, German oil. He runs a Gen 1 Cayman 3.4. It it wasn't $1,000, I'd consider an oil pan upgrade.
I do check my oil levels every other session.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Sage like advice
I have an AiM DOLO 2 DL wired into the car's CAN bus system....that is hooked into a Smarty Cam.
The problem, the AiM data is all after the fact unless there is a warning light..and it's a pain in the *** to pull post session data using Race Studio 3, for me anyway. I am gong to check into an AiM digital dash with warning lights. I'll look into Softronic as well.

If your OBD port is free since you're running the Solo off the CAN bus, you can get a simple bluetooth OBD reader/transmitter like the GoPoint Technology BT1 or 1A and connect it to a app like Dash Command where you can make custom gauges to display whatever data you like that comes through on OBD. Mount your phone just off your eye line and you'll have a live degree accurate coolant temp gauge as big as your phone screen if you like. A couple years ago my whole console died and I used the app for speed, coolant temp and rpm, works great. You'll be shocked how quick up and down it responds as compared to the car's gauge which barely moves.

This is pure GOLD
Read the last two (2) posts...I for one am very grateful. In the words of Chris Walrod, maker of the Walrod Bushing for the 993, "Is this a great place, or what!"
Good stuff....
