This SIM racing is more dangerous to one's career than real racing... just ain't worth it. IMO.
I haven't followed the SIM racing for the same reason I don't follow Formula E, but are these guys forced to race on the SIMs to promote their team or series? If not, what's in it for them?

there is contradiction right there in your one sentence... Sim "racing" is not *driving* by any definition. May be a little bit of testing, if they use sim specifically dialed for car/engine. But I'm pretty sure they all use standard sims, with equal setup for everybody. So you can't even call it testing. It's basically just gaming.

This is what I don't get. They wouldn't do these things any other time they are in the public eye - media events, sponsor events, etc. Why do they think when they get behind a camera in their sim rig it's different than when they are in front of a camera on a podium?
