Not under current conditions. Hoping things may change later in the season, but if not, then still no.
Doesn't need to be a perfect situation, but I'll know what's reasonable when I see it.
Cheers

I would say no. I was taking the year off anyway.
How about an instructor (me) who had COVID-19. Would a student want me in the right seat with my open face helmet. I would guess no.

At this time, no. If I'm going to get infected, I want to do it in the future when docs have effective therapies which are proven to substantially reduce mortality rate. Based on current therapies, average mortality rate is very low for people under 40, significant for people between 40 and 60 (me), and substantial for people over 60, and the shortening of life for those who die from covid is substantial (about a decade, on average: https://wellcomeopenresearch.org/articles/5-75).
If a reliable antibody test becomes available which proves that I have lasting immunity, then I'll go back to living my life as normally as circumstances allow, including getting in the right seat.

In all seriousness, as much as I believe the quarantine has been a waste, there are certain activities which would bring me in close proximity to other people which I would avoid. Sitting right seat is one of them, so, NO I would not instruct until there is a treatment. (I'm not really interested in a vaccine until its been out there for a while. I saw the movie I am Legend and using an untested vaccine is how you create zombie people. I'm only half-kidding.

What if I wear a balaclava, N95, and no pants?

I've stepped back from instructing due to the speed of new cars now but I wouldn't get in the right hand seat now period. There's nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Thank you for the corrections
I am still learning the english language and at times I do and likely will continue errors
Spell check is a great helper but it doesnt catch all
This said I think most of the real men understand my attempt at humor; super hot wife of a dead guy with a GT3 AKA widow YES
Corrections welcome
When a man loses his wife, he becomes a widower. The equivalent name for a woman whose husband dies is a widow. In many cases, a man is only referred to as a widower if he has not remarried. Both a widow and a widower are described as being widowed.

Need to bear in mind that instructing means being in close contact with exactly ONE random person for the weekend. So the probability that you are fighting against is that this one person is currently a virus carrier but asymptomatic. Very different from being in a crowd for an hour, say, and collecting breath samples from perhaps dozens or hundreds of people.
But that's just a thought experiment. Clearly right-seat instruction is out for a while, if not for a couple of seasons.
