Default Video Camera Mount - Which one? Where?

My wife bought me a camera for Christmas, but I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I guess I should probably order a mount for the car since track season is fast approaching. Which roll bar mount is recommended and where is the best place to purchase one?

I just ordered the IO Port one from www.stableenergies.com. It was $90. They occasionally come up on ebay if you are patient.

Geoffrey, if you are looking for the one that suction cups onto a window, I have the I/O port version sitting in my garage. If you want it PM me.

You might want to take a look at this:
http://www.foresightcameras.com/

It offers a great way to hide the camera and a unique perspective of the action.

If your camera will accept an external video signal, you should consider a lipstick camera. Very light, easy to mount almost anywhere, and good quality. We have used Helmet Cam and really like their choice of lenses, but any low cost lipstick camera will produce decent results.

You can wrap your camcorder in foam and tie it down safely, too!

Oh, the 'we' is TrackVision

There are also some camcorder mounting options here:

I'm familiar with the owner from the Lotus Elise boards. He's a good guy.

When I saw this "new" thread authored by uber-Porsche-fanatic Geoffrey asking about a camera mount I just had to take the bait. Reality is, this is a 5+ year old thread! Die old thread, DIE!

it really is just a troll that's linking his tripod on every thread that relates to a camera mount.
