Hey guys. Dipping my big toe back into racing. Does anyone know where I can get a non subscription, hard-wired transponder these days?

Scour the forums, Facebook groups for club racing classes and jump on anything you see. Haven’t been sold new for a few years, but the TranX 260 AMB still is compatible.

There are several for sale in the HPDRE Marketplace on Facebook right now. Prices are creeping up. In hindsight, this was probably the the most valuable part on my 944 that I just sold.

I talked to Mylaps at PRI. I'll paraphrase - they don't think their new units suck, but are making a wired unit again. They didn't know when it would be out yet, but expect this year. It was not a very fruitful conversation. I do have a coupon code somewhere for a discount on a new one. I'll see if I can find it.

I buy old ones whenever they are reasonable.

That sounds encouraging for all of us. Thanks Matt! Let me know if you find the coupon. I probably need to make some TraqGear trades. I kept those FIA Coolshirts. Got about 12 I think. They are mostly small and med though. For Japan market.

They relaunched the rechargeable no subscription at PRI last year. Don't remember seeing any dealers end up with them though.

I'm not holding my breath for anything from them.
