Driving God
The "Driving God" helped me skim another 4 seconds off of my lap times at Road Atlanta during the last Panoz Track Days weekend.
I am very sure that it was his insight into the little nuiances of the track and his careful guidance in turn 12 and other turns too...yelling "GAS!..GASS!!..GASSS!!!" that enabled me to capture a few of the precious seconds .
Seconds are hard to find in a beat-up 924 with a tired engine.
Road Atlanta in April is going to be a lot of fun.

Driving God, do you teach PCA Events, or what?
Tim, 4 seconds off your lap times? Holy cow, what are your lap times now. I love that track, but am not too fast there. I am building a 944S for ITS, maybe he can get me fast when I get that car ready. Then I could go to the ARRC and not embarass myself.

Tim is a good driver, When he listens.
He had a bit of a run in with the tirewall at turn 4 when driving his 1997 Carrera S without instruction.
Did I get Tim 4 seconds. No, not really. But I'll split it with him.
He's learning a new car. I just shared some different thoughts on line, braking and shifting.
I'm forward to our next event in two weeks.

What group are you running in and are you doing the Friday lapping day?
Are you signed up for the Club Race in April?
Cheers,

Hey Tim, I understand your running top 5 times @ in your 924S.
I-class is going to be a riot with all these sub 1:50 cars out there, anybody's game this year.
Although I think it'll be a Jon & Kerry show for the top two spots, hopefully they'll get to fighting early so "I"........I mean "we" can be right there. I never count anyone out.

84-944 (Brian),
My times are coming down to what I call "Respectable". I still need to find another 2-3 seconds before I can hang with the Big Dogs (Jon and Kerry).

Ohh well it IS WELL prepared for 944-spec so that is all that counts for me athough it would fun to race with some 944-cup guys

You can run it in the Super Cup class with NASA. You will have to be at 2250lbs. with you in the car as a minimum.
There is your in. I am in the same boat. 84 car with fiberglass and lexan.

Chris,
My car is 2600 lbs with me in it and all steel & stock glass. Not even close for Super Cup. Heck based on prep level I'd bet a 944-spec car is slower than 944 cup car. This is in spite of the weigth. What I-Stock cars can be 2700 with driver right? So we gain 100 lbs, but can't use coilover or fancy shocks. We also can't use hoosiers. We spec the toyo RA-1.
