Cleaning question...
What are you guys using to clean the rubber and tar marks off your cars after track events?
I've tried P21 Total Auto Wash, and it seems to work OK, but it also makes my wax go bye-bye. Effort and elbow grease are real issues here!
I have heard of Stoner Tarminator and 3M Adhesive and Tar Remover. Have you used either of these products on your "precious" (i.e., brittle ) Porsche paint?
"Safe for most paints..." "Test on a small area first..."
Hmmm...

I've used One Grand Tar Remover (see link) and 3M Adhesive remover. I like the One Grand product better.
However, like any other solvent, it will take off wax. Since I'm only treating small areas, I normally don't touch up the wax in these areas.

I've also used a little paste wax or cleaner-wax to blend out tire marks. You'd want to strip the wax with your AutoWash at a later date to keep from building up discolored wax layers. Wouldn't try it on a white car, but you really can't see it on my silver finish.
Elbow grease may be more harmful because of the extra pressure and rubbing.

Jerome, good point about the elbow grease. Did the 3M adhesive and tar remover cause any changes in your paint?
I'll look into the One Grand deal, too.
Michael, thanks for the tip.

I use the Rain Dance No. 7 Bug and Tar Remover for years and have never had a problem with paint distress. Takes the rubber marks off very easily. I'll have to try Windex, though; never even thought the stuff might work.

I use Maguires Cleaner Wax for rubber marks (from those that come from the front at 100+ mph and those that come at a much lesser speed from the side in the shape of a donught ). I don't know if it strips anything but it works extremely well at removing rubber marks.

Almost everything you use will take the wax as well as the rubber. I us the 3M stuff also. If you wax before you go to the track everything comes off much easier.

elbow grease is the key. Actually I use a degreaser to remove my rubber marks. Yes, it will remove the wax, but after a track weekend and having flying debris as well as oil and other liquids on my car, the wax job is pretty much trashed anyways. I don't mind polishing and then waxing the car, it's cleaner than changing the oil and the end result is always worthwhile.
When I was a concours junkie, I tried every wax and polish around (which explains why I have such a large collection of half full cans and bottles of the stuff in my garage), but I always come back to Meguiars Show car polish and Blitz wax. 3M handglaze is good stuff too, Mequiars is just sold around here in the local auto parts store.
