ADVAN wanted
Had a crazy good day with my old ´74 GT2 replica chasing all kind of supercars around. It runs very well on 9x18" and 255/35/18 in front
and 11x18" 295/30/18 behind. Would love to test the Yokohama's on this lightweight racer.

I'm NC TRACKRAT...Been running HPDE's since 1976 and instructing since about 1980 at many tracks East of the Mississippi, now mostly at my "home" track VIR. My faithful 2005 MINI Cooper S has never let me down after 13 years and over 30,000 track miles which is more than I can say for some of my high horsepower rides. Just returned from instructing at Tarheel BMW CCA's Fall event at VIR-Full and will be back there in November for Carolinas PCA's HPDE.

Nine Years Racing in the AFM
I raced various motorcycles with the American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) from 1970 through 1978. Main bikes were all Yamahas: TA-125, TA-250, TZ-250, TZ-350. I also raced a "TZ-375". This was a TZ-350 with one TZ-750 top-end assembly.
Record: 55 podiums, 18 wins, 4 championships.
1975: 2nd in 125cc GP championship, 1st in 500cc GP championship, 4th overall championship (AFM #4)
1976: 1st in 125cc GP championship, 1st in 500cc GP championship, 1st overall championship (AFM#1)
It was a great time. Many friends.

Weekend Recreation
981 GTS and I are getting used to each other. Photo below shows good g-forces achieved on last run of recent autocross. Fastest raw time but a cone tried to commit suicide under my RR tire 😧. 200TW tires, S11 Porsche/AS SCCA. Very interested in trying Yokohama’s latest on the Porsche.

Not eligible, I guess
Even though I can't win, I'll submit my Pinnacle of Performance memory from a trip to the Nordschleife and Spa-Francorchamps a few years back. Hoping there might be a sticker in it for me...
Sharing Spa-Franchorchamp with an LMS racer. Judging by the spray I might not win the downforce competition...

My stock GT3RS taking FToD at Space Coast Region PCA autocross held at the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Fl. All Porsche entry list and only street tires are allowed makes for a fairly level field.
Waiting to take to the course at AMCM
On course with a student in the passenger seat.

Lots of Show, Plenty of Go!
OK. I know I can't win anything because I was born north of the 49th parallel, but I wanted to share my moment of fame too!
Here's my 1990 Carrera 2 in full dress at the celebration banquet after winning its class at the Whistler Weekend Concours in 2005 (sporting Yoko AVS Sports at the time).
And yes, besides concours, this little beauty is no garage queen. We have seen plenty of track time at our PCA-CWR DE events. For those drives, the rubber would be A048 R Comps.
Oh and one more brush with greatness. I had the honour of chauffeuring the great Vic Elford from the airport to one of our weekend Porsche Club festivities in my C2.
Besides sharing some great stories, his only request: "Please don't try to impress me with your driving skills. You'll just end up scaring the hell out of me".
Cheers!

Looking for a tire that lasts more than one track day. It's a blast to drive these cars they way they are meant to be driven. I drove my car most recently at BIR 3.1 mile course. top speed 155 down the straight and all I want to do is go faster. Nothing better then accelerating and braking hard working my way around the track.
When tires let go...

To bad the offer is only valid in continental US, would love to give the Yokos a shot. I have the second fastest lap time of the GT3's at our Autodromo Internacional de Las Americas.
Good luck everyone.
