NNJR TBolt Race?

I thought the problem was more prevalent than once a few seasons? There were comments about quite a few cars being out of commission at the race at LS a few weeks ago. Similar comments about this weekend. The $1k cost for the transmission isn't the real cost anyways... it's all the lost time/costs in prep, travel, entry fees, hotels, etc. that makes it much more significant if you lose track time over an issue like that (not saying it cannot happen to any car.. I had my exhaust fail on the very last session of the day, which would have been a lot worse at the start of the wknd).
Also SM require a *ton* of silly maintenance, even if the parts themselves are cheap. Time and money.. time and money...

Yes. We can stop with the SPB trans hysteria now.
I've had three transmissions since 2011. One of those was really due to a rear impact.
When I raced an E car I rebuilt the trans just more often and for a whole lot more money.

Appendix H
Championship Totals: The best 13 race point totals for each racer in all points scoring races for the year will count toward the National Championship. Ties for the first three positions will be broken by the highest total in the 14th race then 15th race etc. A racer must successfully complete a minimum of 7 race starts in point scoring races to be eligible for a National Podium Award. Starts for this requirement will be as described in #6 above. Races that are started correctly but not finished count as starts.
I think this was changed by the move to 3 points races/weekend as 13 equates to a minimum of 5 events (which aligns with the max of 25 event points)
