PORSCHE 997.1 GT3RS WITH 18″ SM-10 WHEELS AT WEATHERTECH RACEWAY LAGUNA SECA

We recently met up with our customer Sean at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to get a closer look at his dual duty Porsche 997.1 GT3RS featuring our 18" SM-10 wheels. This is truly a special car, and we love the fact that Sean routinely puts his on track where it belongs. The Mezger powered 997.1 RS sings quite a tune in the upper rev range, so to keep local Monterey residents happy he had a set of "Laguna pipes" fabbed up. It is always fun to see the different creative solutions drivers come up with to pass sound.

We have a few different wheel configurations available for 997 widebody chassis, and Sean ultimately chose our 18x9″ ET46 profile 1 flat face wheels up front, paired with our 18x12″ ET45 profile 3 deep concave rear wheels to support his Nitto NT01 r-compound tires. The SM-10 wheels are optimized for Porsche chassis, featuring knurled beads along the barrel to reduce unwanted tire rotation and massive brake clearance which allow them to clear the OEM PCCBs many other 18” wheel manufacturers simply cannot accommodate.
