The viewing angle is too wide for the camera location. The view through the windshield is too small. The view should have the left A-pillar on the far left and the right A-pillar on the far right. Instead, on the right we see halfway out the door window. Look at the video in my thread about about the White Group race on Sunday at Laguna. You can see my hands and everything else you might want to see yet the view of the track is great.

Scott, it’s a function of this system, too. We all agree that the main camera FOV is too wide, but it’s designed to be mounted high and center inside the windshield facing forward. The main view is supposed to be for seeing furthest down the road while still capturing the relationship and the spacing between the front edges of the car and the proximity to the edges of the track. The interior camera CAN be cropped any way you like. It’s designed to look at the driver to see their head and hands, either looking over from the passenger side or what I like, over their shoulder so you can see around a winged head support, with the background being dark. A fair number of drivers do use it for rear view to protect themselves in the races. Out of the hundreds of installations I’ve seen and done, only Trakcar and Alan use this view (primary camera back in the cockpit at the plane of the main hoop), but it’s their box and their cars, so rock on!
