I run in the intermediate group with a group in the northeast. At my most recent event, a driver in my group starts mentioning that he doesn't know when to brake before big bend at lime rock, as he was embarrassed he went off into the side road at the end of the main straight. I point him toward the numbers on the side and his remark was, "oh, that's what those are for?"
Not sure how he was in intermediate, but he obviously lied about his experience when signing up for the event.

Perhaps you are too young for the reference.

Dave, I know you are old enough for the reference . You need to give up one of your man cards.

In my opinion, Grass=Total Loss of control = youre going to hit something..... I had to go back to the video and watch that travesty once more to confirm, BUT He has Brakes FULL on when he leaves the pavement. (pretty sure he closes his eyes after that) . My opinion... Get off the brake... Even if he had the Nannies on and ABS,,, The Tire can only provide so much traction and at the point where you KNOW you are going to leave the track surface, Get off the brake and give the tires 100% Turning grip to stay, on the pavement for a long a possible to scrub speed... Even If if it spins the car, Once spinning Both feet in....
I recently ran in the POURING rain at WGI and came down the chute into 6 and could not get the car slowed down... Ran right up to the edge of the pavement and was pumping modulating the brake (NO ABS) and when I was about a foot from the edge just let go of the brake and the car turned... No Different from driving in the snow...

I never understood why someone would want to post a video of where one caused damage and/or possible injury to another. Is this part of today's generation, having to post everything online? I wouldn't be surprised if the video was downloaded prior to take down.

The fact the Mustang boy would post such a video to social media says a lot about his attitude and situational awareness. Wonder if Chin will allow him back to one of their events?

If I had that Mustang/driver combo that close behind me during a DE like it was for several laps behind the GT3, I would have given a point by within 1/2 lap. I always check my mirrors leading up to and in heavy braking zones, but I'm not usually looking off track where this guy was when he should have been in heavy braking somewhere on the track surface.

You guys are funny. Plenty of video's of people going into walls at DE events, bullying people online that they didn't get a point by.

Not sure why incidents (car to car contact, people going into walls) or people driving aggressively at DE events is a surprise for any of you.

If it is then......
