This is me playing with a friend. Heavens to Betsy look at all that sliding around and shuffle steering.
BTW, I don't have track insurance and never will . If I can't afford to ball up what I'm driving I'll stay home and play golf or OSB. OH.........and if I hit you because of driver error you can bet I'll do my very best to make it right etc...etc...
The corner workers at VIR are excellent BTW. SPR not so much, I've seen people reading books etc.... LOL. Although I haven't been there in a while so who knows.

Shut the hell up.... they were busy trying to buy track insurance for the GT350 and GT3 as they were watching the action unfold. Miracle of modern technology/cell phones.
EDIT: then yesyoucan (the idiot) called in and told them he could tell GT350 already had insurance by watching him drive.

You must have missed the part of the mustang driver and how he brushed it off (he said he had track insurance and GT3 guy should have had it too). A big yawn to him).
Based on this long, long discussion... It doesn't seem that many of you track very often because it seems to be a new topic to you. Plenty of incidents every HPDE track day. If you don't know then you either don't track during HPDE events or are just trying to protect something.

Your "Plenty of incidents every HPDE track day" is just not true.

This thread is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s come full circle I think at least three times. Even YYC came back from the dead to post again. VR was right, 100 pages or bust!!

Based on my HPDE experiences going back the past decade, if you are seeing plenty of car to car contact incidences every event you're tracking with the wrong crowd. In my experience it is rare for a car to hit fixed objects, perhaps 2-3 a year. One incident of minor car to car contact in 10 years. Again, if you are seeing cars stuffed into fixed objects every event the people you are tracking with are doing it wrong.
