So who got nailed by the Mustang at VIR?

Blame was not put on him. It's kind of like walking across the street at a signal when it turns green without looking both ways to make sure there are no cars coming. If a car runs the light and hits you, it's not your fault and you have no blame. Yet, looking both ways would have been the prudent thing to do. It would have been prudent for Fritz to have let the GT350 through based on what he saw going on behind him. What happened to him was not his fault and he is not to blame. All Earlierapex is saying to Fritz is that a little bit of prudence here would have gone a long way to prevent what ended up happening.

The interval was plenty. We’re not talking about wheel to wheel here.
We’re talking about DE, for God’s sake!

Tone deaf? Do you mean it lacked tact? I can agree with that. But, I would suggest that everyone else being so tactful did not seem to get the point across to Fritz that it would have been prudent to note the behavior going on behind him and do something about it. In fact, based on Fritz's responses, I am not sure that he gets that concept that prudence could have been helpful.

BS, Scott. Earlier Apex is suggesting that FF should all have eyes in the back of his head, look out and expect people behind him to lose their minds and crash into him.

No, it’s kind of like walking down the sidewalk minding your own business when a car suddenly hits you from behind. Should you have been paying to attention to the cars behind you? Maybe. But they should have kept their asses on the street where they belonged. You had every right to walk on that sidewalk.

I mentioned my lesson a few times. I hear you guys loud and clear. Watch out for wild mustangs etc... DONE!!!!
Lets change the subject. What I love about driving is that physics don't lie which is why all the great sayings we use over and over are all 100 percent true:
Slow in fast out
smooth is fast
brake last
gas 1st
steer as little as possible etc...etc...

I certainly pay much closer attention to cars behind me on the track at a DE than I do cars on the street as I am walking down the sidewalk. I bet both of you do too.
Look, I am not trying to say that Fritz did anything wrong. But hey, you keep telling everyone that there was nothing he could have done that may have spared him from this......
