Default Tire Rollover?

Got back from track this weekend and noticed rubbing far down my rear tires. Tire pressure range 29 cold - 35 hot. 991.2 Targa GTS with -2.4 rear camber with 305/30/20s. Max lateral Gs 1.35 this weekend.

I would want to call this rollover, but it is so far down seems hard to believe. Is if possibly from apex curbing or rubbing in fender well? Thoughts?

Use chalk next time to determine how much it really rolls over. Be careful with pushing too much lateral load when the tires are cold.

This is also a relatively heavy car. Perhaps consider a bit more starting pressure?

That's rollover.

That is rolling over quite a bit for having that degree of camber--though the pressures seem ok as listed you may want to put a bit more (i.e 2# to start) in as stated above.

That looks more like scuffing from curbing to me.

Actually, I think my lap timer encouraged me to do this. Lap Timer was for sure to blame!

Yeah, 2lbs is about all I can add to start sessions out. Last month at the same track, I was 2lbs higher and could reach 38lbs in rear toward the end of the session. I didn't have near this degree of rollover at all, but traction started decreasing about 38 for my setup toward the end of session. I found a lot of people on the forum running much lower cold temps, so dropped it down a couple. This was my second time out on these tires, so trying to find the sweet spot for them. It takes me a good 2 laps to get the pressures decent and I found it hard to wait til a full 2 laps were completed to push. 1 lap, I am good for waiting, just not much past that I guess. The Intermediate 1 Group was pretty packed and I started getting into heavy traffic in the rear of the pack in lap 2 that I had to manuever past and wait for point bys on. I was trying to get some clean sections in before I hit it, so this is probably the culprit. I was just shocked at how far over the rollover was as I have not seen it that extreme before.

There is some scuffing most of the way down the sidewall, but can that be rollover? The raised lettering molded into the tire looks virtuallyuntouched. Wouldn't that be worn off if the tire were rolling over that far?

Also, would the little antennas not break off too is something I had wondered?

I don't think the discoloration near the bead is scuffing at all - perhaps something from the lighting/camera used to take the picture or simply dirt (Run through any puddles?). If that was scuffing, the wheel would be road rashed. What I called scuffing ends just below the tread blocks.

No that is not the camera or dirty puddles.

I think if that was rollover it would have ripped the tire right off of the rim.
Maybe you really nailed your apexes.
