Pagid RS29 #2406 on my 718 Boxster S - fitment questions
I bought a set of Pagid RS29s from Suncoast for my 2017 718 Boxster S. I have two questions:
1. The fronts look fine but the shape of the rear backing plate is different from the factory pads. Suncoast sent me part #2406, which according to Pagid is the correct shape code for my 718 Boxster S, but the pads are missing the protrusions at the outside of the pads that the factory spring clip presses against.
Here is the shape of the Pagid pads I bought:

The factory pads have a shape that looks like this:

Do I just use the factory spring clips as is? I suppose they are centered by the locking pin, and would probably apply pressure to the Pagids just like the factory pads, but the factory geometry seems more secure and I assume those protrusions are there for a reason.
2. The factory pads include a thin layer of some kind of dense foam glued to the backing plate, that the pistons leave impressions in. I assume this is an anti-vibration / anti-squeal solution. The backs of the Pagid pads are just painted metal, which the pistons will be directly in contact with. Do I need to buy anything to put in between the pistons and the Pagids or do I just use them as-is?

1. Use factory spring clips anyway. They're like that on 981S too, and they work fine.
2. No need to add anything. They're going to squeal, though
