997 GT3: depending on the temperature I usually start at 25, no hard cornering until I know there is heat in them (2 laps) and then bleed back down to 33.

You are right that that starting at 25 you will comfortably get to 36+ so need to monitor first couple of sessions and continue bleeding down to preferred hot pressure.

Same here on my 6-GT3, I usually am at 33-34, not below 33.

Yeah I thought that at first too but after trying various pressures (including higher on the rear) on them 33-34 all around seems to feel best.

Also I have read other NT-01 threads here on the forum that say below 32 they start to get sidewall roll and above 36 they get really greasy when hot. I confirmed this to be true myself by trial and error.

That's really low. What is your car's weight?

Do you find it "mushy" at speed / turn in/etc?

thx.

My car is heavier than stock, but still it's light: 2400 pounds. I run 255/315, so it's a lot of tire width for the weight of the car.

I've been running Nittos for at least a decade. It feels pretty good, and I'm down to a low 1:26 at Big Willow on them with 240 or so to the wheels.

Appreciate that. My 964 is 2600lbs with 265 to the wheels, 235/275 NT01. I've been running them low 30 hot. Now I'm curious :-)
Whats interesting is another guys I know that is very, very fast, runs his quite high as he likes the direct feel and ability to rotate easier....

So at a hot that low, what are you starting your tires at cold?

126 at big willow is speedy !!!

Thought I'd post my experience with the NT01's on the 996 since my original post, just as an FYI.
Sunny, dry and mid 70's at Mid-Ohio this past week. I found they seemed to work best at 33/hot fronts, 35/hot rears. I tried slightly higher hot settings, but they just didn't grip quite as well. What I found more interesting was after setting them hot, the next morning the cold pressures were 26 all around. Seems the NT01's build more pressure than the previous Toyo R888R's, which BTW, seemed to work best at 32 hot front, and 34/hot rear.
YMMV,
Cheers.

225F and 255R on my 964. 3000lbs. 31-32 hot on all 4 for me. 34psi and they feel greasy. YMMV.
