HPDE insurance
I've gotten Lockton Motorsport track insure the last two seasons, $25K with 10% deductible. Did a quick quote from Hagerty and the price was within a few dollars but they include environmental clean up (speedy dry). Thinking about the Lockton "six-pack" which basically gives me one weekend for free. Got an HPDE at Summit Point this weekend, Mar 9-10, so need to pull the trigger. Comments or recommendations welcome.

Lowest value Open Track has is $30K. I only need $25K. $90 more with their sales tax. Thinking about a 981 after this season, so will keep Open Track as an option if and when I get a more valuable ride.

For me it came down to Events / Year math. My break even point between Lockton and Open Track was 6 events. So doing way more than 6 events per year made Open Track a no brainer.
Kitc - If your at the PCA event this weekend look me up and I’ll explain how the Open Track claim process worked with a fellow Potomac PCA driver. It was pretty cool.

Open Track if you're doing more than 5 or 6 events.

Just make sure to play with the estimator tool. Last I checked for the one-year policy, the effective minimum coverage was 75k. You could select a lower agreed value, but it wouldn’t change the premium! They need to tune up their UI I think.

I used Open track last year as they were cheaper based on the vehicle value I input. I also noticed that while their lowest option is for $30k, the price is the same as $50k.
I also noticed their prices vary a lot depending on what state the event is in (taxes and such). It was >$50 more to insure my car in Illinois than it was in Michigan.

Just purchased HPDE insurance from Hagerty for this weekend. Paid $200 for $26,200 w/10% deductible. I added $1,200 mod for my Sport/Sport+ upgrade with a $25K car value. Didn't do a current quote with Lockton, but last year for $25K was $192. Hagerty includes:
- Towing and Storage
- Rental Car Reimbursement
- Pollutant Cleanup and Removal
