The unfortunate reality is the dealer can refuse to do the work under warranty period. Regardless of the Magnusson-Moss Act and how right you are.

Then it's up to you to sue them and deal with the time/money to hold their feet to the fire.....

Good luck!

Didn't know what car you were referring to. I saw the GT4 in your signature, but also knew you were not disclosing everything for various reasons.

Heck, I am sorry, you are right, the OP doesnt say what car. I had to re-read it. I just assumed GT4, but his post mentions an "automatic" transmission. Sorry for the confusion I created.

With all the GT4 transmission issues-3rd gear- I'd expect no problem on replacement- even with PDK. Let us know if you can eventually

GT4 never had a PDK option from the factory.

If the lowering is within spec for a similar Cayman in ROW say or similar model, then I don't see where they would have an issue. I couldnt find the Dec 2010 alert but found this. It talks about replacing a belt damaging the engine possibly, but the rest is still warranted.

Are we talking CPO warranty? I would assume any 987.2 would be out of the original warranty.

BTW, I'm in the club too, dealing with a PDK failure on my 987.2.

GT4 with a PDK?

Edit: Never mind. Just saw someone (ExMB) else mentioned this. Sorry.

Here's the FTC Alert in case anyone needs it and yes it's a 987.2 PDK not the GT4 in my avatar. Sorry for any confusion.
