The unfortunate reality is the dealer can refuse to do the work under warranty period. Regardless of the Magnusson-Moss Act and how right you are.
Then it's up to you to sue them and deal with the time/money to hold their feet to the fire.....

Heck, I am sorry, you are right, the OP doesnt say what car. I had to re-read it. I just assumed GT4, but his post mentions an "automatic" transmission. Sorry for the confusion I created.

If the lowering is within spec for a similar Cayman in ROW say or similar model, then I don't see where they would have an issue. I couldnt find the Dec 2010 alert but found this. It talks about replacing a belt damaging the engine possibly, but the rest is still warranted.
