Need guidance. Want to start racing

Its popular because its relatively cheap, the cars are not intimidating, and donor cars are easy to find. A 2.5l motor is only like 2k to 3k so its not world ending when one fails but dont sit there and tell me its a good motor for track use. If you think otherwise your ice engineering knowledge is limited.

I raced a loaner SPB at Summit Point this year... that wont happen again.
Lack of LSD was frustrating. I get the cheap part. But damn these are ugly cars.

I think most end up without ever thinking about motor issues (trans yes, but not motor)
Quad - sorry your experience has been different, but in my ~75 hours or so of driving a SPB I have had no motor issues. Fortunately that experience is shared with the front of the pack in all regions in the US.

Not sure if you are trolling or want help understanding the car and series.
If the latter feel free to pm me and I'm happy to tell you more.
Motors aren't an issue period

Never add it up!
Never discuss costs with the wife!
Those are the two rules I live by when it comes to racing.

I've blown a motor on my 986 at DE. I'm not trolling and I'm very well familiar with the car. OP, if you consider a SPB, do some research on the M96. Great thread by Chris Cervelli regarding oil starvation.

Luckily, mine doesn't really want to know but she knows enough to laugh at those numbers.

Re-scale that graph to normal limits and post it again, please. 0 psi low scale, 60 psi high scale.
If someone doesn't know what they're looking at in your screengrab, it looks worse than it is. Your scale is 1.8 psi low to high...
Fake news... Fix it, please.
