Have merci with the little 2.0L 911s in a Group F. I don’t think we can go much faster than about 135/140 mph (on a good day).

Daytona is a great track. Different from everywhere else we go. Make sure they put a tall gear set in your car.

Ha. The clubsport should have a good shot at the group win there.

Frank,

I wont be racing my 2 liter (its for sale) but don't despair, my fast lap at Daytona is a low 2! 2:04 or 2:06. Its possible! Don't give up.

Currently selling my GrandAm Cup and my 2 liter (well my SC street car also and for the right price my Street 69S).

That's flying! What was your top speed? We are currently building a Daytona gearbox.

JLS was doing 154-155. But that’s with the best 2-liter in the business... same car we were looking at that 2:26 at Sebring, Frank.

Heres the view from another twin-plug 2-liter just behind JLS!

That’s insane. How do you get 250+ HP out of a 2.0L car?

It's not that much, but it's great, usable power all across the range. Limited by HSR to 8200, or used to be.

The best 2-liter builder in the business, and one of the few that are absolutely straight up... It makes the money spent on the GTB1 car seem reasonable, though.

I Just quivered a little... I'll be there supporting Frank this year but doesn't look like the Goose will migrate south to Florida until Sebring...

My car is so much fun.......! If we were allowed to run higher revs, it would be even more fun!

Thanks for the heads up. I am blown away by the cars entered and really excited about participating (groups E + 9).

Some heavy hitters - Andy Wallace, Jochen Mass, Jim Pace....

How are current Cups (991.1 & 991.2) historic....or is it just the drivers that are historic?

Frank

I won't be able to come and cheer you on, I'm headed to KC for the week. When I drove my car there I ran out of revs at pit in and couldn't even see the brake zone at turn 1. I'm sure your guys know what gear to use though. It will be much faster than you think in the 2.0. Best of luck. Great racing there last weekend!

Ok, that last comment made me LOL!!!

HSR will find a run group for everyone! When we were in Sebring and Frank ran the 2.0 there was a brand new Camaro in Conti GS spec I believe. It looked like it came from the showroom to the shop to the track.

That looks and sounds like a proper race car and tons of fun.

He vvercooked it a little into T1. Been there, done that, lived to tell the tale!
