Default Classic Daytona & Daytona Historics.

Has anyone entered this year and/or participated in previous years at this HSR event? I am thinking about entering and would be interested in any feedback.

I participated in 2015 and by sheer coincidence ended up winning my class. It's an awesome event. The most memorable weekend in my entire track driving history!

If we can get my motor finished on time, I'll be participating in my 911 this year.

Yep, I'll be there. Did it last year as well. It's starting to become a big event with folks coming over from Europe to take part. The folks at HSR do a great job. Very driver friendly organization.

It's had a pretty big European presence since the beginning.

I think i stumbled upon an ex racer 1965 911 a few years ago that i would be tempted to run in the event.

Really cool event. Have run it twice. Its a very similar feel to running the "real" 24. There is a chance to win a BRM watch if you win your run group.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like a great event. Cory the chance of winning a BRM watch tipped me over the edge, I'm signing up and have contacted HSR about group/class (my car is fast but a bastard > 993 chassis, 997 RSR motor, 996 sequential gearbox, etc) and registration (first time running with HSR).

David Hinton and Sara, the registrar, are great folks and will find a place for you. Keep us posted,

See you guys there. I'll be co-driving in group F in a GT4 clubsport, and group E in a 991R and a 997cup. Should be a great event.

Cory we'll be in the same group for the 24. My car has been classed Group 9/GT2A and Group E/GT2. It will be my first time at Daytona so I am going to do the test on Wednesday. KMR have ironed out all the bugs we experienced at Road America and 001 is ready to go. I am counting down the days!
