Looking for a tester
We are hoping to find an interested party who is willing to test and report on a new product we are bringing to the market. It's a brake pad wear sensor delete. We grew tired of using zip ties to secure the sensors in our M3's as it looked a little "unprofessional" and created a small potential problem. Thus, we decided to make a cleaner solution.
We will provide for free the parts; all we ask is your honest opinion and feedback. If there is something that you would like changed or redesigned just let us know. As usual we will make the pricing point well below anything else that currently exists. This is not a job for us, its just a passion and we don't believe in any kind of "Porsche Tax."
Ideally we would like someone with a 911 model to start (but we can make them for any model so please don't hesitate to reach out), let us know asap!
PM us if you're interested!

I presume this can or should be as simple as sourcing the OEM connector and simply putting a resistor inline and then covering and sealing everything. If it'll fit a 981 S/GTS I'm happy to help.

I mean, just cut the wires close to the connector, twist the wires together, and heat shrink/electrical tape. Not sure where the demand comes from here.

To everyone who has replied - please just send me your mailing address and we will send them out to you for free, just give us your honest feedback. We may have to purchase additional parts depending on your model so it may be a week or so depending on the application. Ten candidates who have any planned track weekends between now and the end of the year would be great. You don't have to send them back, they're yours to keep. Please include the year/make/model in your response so we can provide the correct set for your application.
And yes it is just a wire loop, nothing tricky or fancy and we are more than willing to share our methodology freely! The parts are simply provided as a convenience and to avoid potential check warnings that may prevent a car from a timely date with some dedicated pavement circles!

This is correct, and you absolutely can do this. If perhaps someone doesn't want to buy another set of 'sensors' -- aka wire loops with phenolic pad inserts -- and would like to retain some level of factory brake sensor compliance, and don't want to twist/solder/tape wire, then these will be a very low cost option.

Ok we are good on testers! Thanks all who replied. For the 987's folks, we are waiting on the suppler to get the sensors to us so we can make them up. As soon as we get them made I will PM you a USPS tracking number. As for the 997's you should have them in a couple of days!

Thank you! We have received some excellent feedback so far and are going to incorporate those ideas until it passes the Rennlist test! Then you all can have at it or we will make it available for purchase. And for all of you air-cooled motor-heads, we haven't forgotten about you! (just waiting on parts)
