"Everytime I go through i feel like i could have gone faster."
that's the way I feel about most turns.
I've raced there two weekends with the wide-open Turn 17.
I've been told there are like six lines through there.

Talking about turn 17, how about the rest? Does somebody know of a write up on driving Sebring (turn by turn)?

Did a quick check on Gold Coast's & Sebrings sites, but no write-up that I could find. Skip Barbers "Going Faster" book has a very complete run down w/ graphs etc. If any one does find something else, please post.

Take a look here for some hot lap info. I think the lap description is for the old hairpin turn #7 and not for the modified safety pin #7.

Sloth: That description also seems to be out of date in other areas as well. I wish 14's inside boundary was just marked with pylons, those damn curbs ain't no fun. And turn 16 is no longer a simple right hander.

I'll be there racing racing for the honor of HWFMR in F, and hope to meet some of our East Coast and Southern teammates. But I still haven't gotten over the fact that the notorious Finn will not be there.

Imagine how I feel about it! Especially reading all about GT2 motors etc... I feel miserable here... I think next year I will chain myself to the entrance gate two months prior, that way I have no change of traveling.
Have plenty of fun there (not too muvh to ask) and fly the banner high!
Re: Track write up; I have J.J. Lehto's write up at my office, it's bit dated but when you take a track map and read it, you get it.
If anyone wants, I can post it here tomorrow.
Also, if you saw my clips from Sebring, it had fast lap which showed the track pretty well. I can post the links for that clip which shows the lap if anyone's interested (it'a also at my office).
You can also go to our region's web site (www.goldcoastregion.org) and go under videos, there's another clip of me at Sebring which shows the track pretty well.

LOL
I like that image of you chained to the gate at Sebring.
Let's see, what sort of sign can we put next to you while you are sitting there chained to the fence...
"Pissed off Don Panoz"
"Did not tip well enough at Chateau Elan"
"This is what happens when you get a second '13'!"
"Passed Bill Walczak without a point-by."
We'll think of something amusing.
But seriously, I'm sorry you can't make it. I'd love to meet you face to face. Even more, I'd like to bungee my car to yours, and go for one of those wild laps.
We'll drink aquavit in your honor one night in the Turtle Pond.

Mike,
I sure miss seeing you guys there but please don't drink aquavit in my honor, try and ask for Finlandia Vodka, they better have it or I'll chain myself to their fron door!
Bill,
You have some explaining to do, with sugar or not!
And yes, warning fax to scruts was already sent.

My days of making sure I make weight, have the carpet etc. are over. I am now in the land of "freedom", GT2S. Will not be the fastest GT2s but my goal is to complete both races without body contact and keep getting faster.
The car is better than ever (although I have not seen it) so it is a good time to sell. When ole yeller sells I hope to buy a new cup car.
This is all subject to change of course

You are victim of your own industry's disease. The "Buy a bigger boat" syndrom. Only in sports cars it's "Buy a faster car" syndrom. Equally dibilitating. You just can't stand to see all those other guys going faster than you so you push the envelope (ie ripping splitters etc) to be like them. Now you know this tub will not but a new tub, ha ha ha, yes that's it ha ha ha, a newer faster one, that's the ticket ha ha. (Do you catch the sarcastic sick dimented mind expressions?) The sad thing is, I feel it to ha ha ha...arggghhh. Just don't forget, you buy a cup car today, next year's model is totally changed so you will want that one too. I am just waiting to find the right moment in the hand me down market.
LOL
