Man I miss the old SpeedVision Monday update show covering all the racing from the weekend I even watched the NASCAR updates Can't Amazon or Netflix do a show like that?

And i HATE the screaming heads on the new SkySports coverage of F1 this season. I watch with the sound muted. Bring back the old team of announcers. these new guys think they are announcing a soccer game.

The Glen race was brutal--Dale Jr. and Jeff Burton better find jobs.
Pity, as the rest of the coverage was really good IMO, particularly the camerawork.
As for Speedvision, truthfully it's been so long I hardly remember it

I hated the screaming with SKY but realized that I get to watch the entire race without commercials (on Dish). I'm OK with SKY now. I miss Leigh Diffey, but none of the other guys, especially Bob Varsha. .

Totally miss Speedvision! Being able to finally tune in motorcycle road racing was awesome! Not to mention just about any other form of racing as well. It was sad to watch it downgrade over the years.
As for current F1 viewing, I love the fact that they run it commercial free. That's awesome, but Sky's coverage leaves a whole lot to be desired. I used to look forward to NBC SN's pre-race (and race commentary), but now I more often than not just fast forward right to the warm-up lap. Will Buxton was far more entertaining on the grid, Hobbs' old school vibe, Machet with some cool insights...Diffey was alright too. I didn't mind him, I didn't dislike him, he just sort of worked well with the group.

nascar announcers
Letarte, Burton and Jr are incredibly annoying to listen to, Jesus, calm down and stop screaming, Burton is the worst, 100+ decibel level for sure, like a damn razor voice. Varsha on F1 was obsessed with Hammy's girlfriend, whatever her name is/was. Every time they panned to the suites Varsha was sure to mention her name and start babbaling, dude who gave a crap?

In '99 it was the whole reason i subscribed to directv. Had it for about a month before it changed to the speedchannel. I just remember air races boat races....all things "speed". Keep it simple.
